Design and Validation of Children's Emotional Intelligence Assessment Questionnaire (Parent Form)

Background and Purpose: Since assessing emotional intelligence from childhood is important, this study aimed to develop validate an questionnaire for Iranian culture. Method: This a descriptive developmental in which the was designed with 68 items. The population consisted of 618 mothers children 6 9 years old Tehran academic year 1400, that were selected schools by means accessible way. content validity determined 10 college professors who chosen For construct validity, exploratory confirmatory factor analysis performed, internal consistency calculating Cronbach's alpha coefficient. Results: Based on questionnaire, items omitted because their ratio less than 0.62 index 0.79, final performed 59 analysis, 7 factors able explain variances, after rotation varimax method, total explained 62.516% variance. In goodness-of-fit reached 0.943, acceptable. questions also 0.95. Conclusion: results study, it can be concluded present valid instrument old.
